Building strong, positive and culturally sensitive relationships with families/whānau and community is important to us. This is a fulltime teacher position - (40 hours per week) worked Monday to Friday - 8.00am to 4.30pm.
Our programme is flexible, purposeful, stimulating and challenging by following the children's interests and supporting their learning and other needs. We have a transition to school programme, and a peer reading programme with one of our local schools. We offer kapa haka once a week.
We are licensed for 40 children who attend for 6 hours each day. You will join our fun-loving supportive team whānau made up of 4 other teachers and an administrator.

We are looking for an enthusiastic kaiako who can:
Provide a culturally responsive and engaging environment where tamariki can be confident in their identities, languages, cultures and abilities.
Engage with children in their home language or show commitment to.
Use a range of intentional teaching strategies and assessment information to design clear next steps in learning and identify additional support or adaptations as needed.
Collaborate in professional learning using internal evaluation processes and adaptively apply this learning in practice.
Support toddlers and young children who are very active exploring the learning environment.
