Cleaning and disinfecting beds, flooring, and other surfaces in the ward is necessary to keep it a clean, sterile environment and to preserve cleanliness and hygiene.
Helping with patient mobility: Ward boys aid patients with lifting and transferring as well as with moving them around the hospital, such as from their room to the operating room or examining room.
Patients and medical supplies may need to be moved to various areas of the hospital, such as the X-ray department or operating room. They may also be responsible for moving medical supplies and equipment.
