About the Role
We are seeking an experienced administration professional to join our team for Huia Ward based in Waitakere Hospital. This is a permanent part time role working 0.8FTE, Monday to Thursday, 9am to 5.30pm.
This position involves a high level of customer contact in a fast paced environment. You will be responsible for daily ambulance booking, patients admission/discharge, maintenance of patient's files, quality improvement on the ward, arranging and monitoring patient movements, communication and liaison with hospital staff, patients and their family/ whanau. This role offers the opportunity to work closely alongside our Wainamu Ward receptionist in a supportive, collaborative environment. Youll be part of a flexible team where shared responsibilities and occasional cross-cover ensure variety in your day and strong teamwork across the ward.

You will have:
Excellent proven organisational and communication skills
Customer service experience
Flexible attitude and the ability to multi-task and prioritise within a fast-paced environment is essential
Provide administrative, and reception support for the ward.
Good computer literacy is required
Previous experience in a health care setting and knowledge of iPMS is desirable, but not essential, as training will be provided.
Strong command of the English language both verbal and written
Keeping the Reception area tidy
Able to work within a multidisciplinary team and under pressure to meet deadlines
