Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday – 10am to 2pm

About the Role
The purpose of this role is to support the healthcare team and service activities in the transition lounge ensuring service delivery is maintained at all times.
We are looking to appoint a suitably experienced and enthusiastic person to join us as a part time Ward Clerk in the Transitional Lounge at North Shore Hospital. In this role, you will be responsible for the provision of ward clerical services, reception duties, and medical record maintenance. The Ward Clerk provides a front-line service to the patients in the Transitional Lounge and receives and processes them during their journey.
This role is vital for the smooth operation of the Transitional Lounge through managing administrative tasks and clerical duties during our times of high capacity, which will help facilitate timely discharges and ensure that there is accurate data involved in the transfer in and out of the unit.

About Us
The North Shore Transitional Lounge is located on the ground floor of the main hospital building and provides a space for discharging and transferring patients to wait for their pick up transportation.
Health New Zealand Waitematā provides health services to approximately 650,000 residents of the North Shore, Waitakere, and Rodney areas. It has the largest population of any district health area.

About you
To succeed in this role, you will have:
A minimum of 1 year of experience in an administrative, reception, or telephone based
At least 1 year of experience in data entry
Proven computer skills in a range of programs
Proven ability to work under pressure and to deadlines, problem solve, and use initiative
