Location: Goemans Appliances, London Ontario
The Warehouse Admin & Front Desk Worker will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and seamless processing of incoming and outgoing shipments. The Warehouse Worker must load and unload shipments to the store Showroom with the capability of repetitive heavy lifting.
This position is also a hybrid of Front Desk reception with wide variety of clerical office duties in support of company administration. This includes greeting and screening visitors, answering and referring inbound telephone calls, and other duties as required.
MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK EVENINGS AND WEEKENDS
Job Duties
Prepare receiving dock to accept incoming product.
Inspect product to ensure condition with acceptable bar-code assignment
Accept shipment of appliance(s) and move them accordingly in the showroom
May lift cases of product and/or stock merchandise according to documented procedures.
Process all required paperwork and maintain adequate records for reporting and tracking.
Report discrepancies to immediate supervisor.
Ensure that shipments contain proper documentation and if there are multiple items per shipment, ensure item lists are complete.
Dispose of empty boxes and packages in garbage chute
Perform other duties as assigned.
Take calls, answer any customer inquiries and greet customers in a professional manner
Requirements
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting up to 100 lbs.
Able to communicate both verbally and in writing.
Basic mathematical skills.
Working knowledge of safe lifting methods.
Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
Attention to detail in all areas of work.
Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
Physical Demands
Lifting or moving up to 100 lbs with assisted devices required
Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
Work is performed in a combination of environments.
