Warehouse Assistant
Position Summary:
Overseen by the Warehouse Assistant, the warehouse operations of each retail store are managed by supervising warehouse specialists, forklift operators, and order pickers. They also have to support the Receiving Warehouse Assistant in managing daily freight schedules based upon inventory and customer demands.
Warehouse Assistant Major Duties:
• Organize the daily routine of the warehouse staff to streamline the shipping and receiving procedures.
• Ensure that the warehouse operates efficiently on a daily basis by directing tasks such as shipping, receiving, maintenance, and inventory control.
• Proper product staging can help to streamline the Storage Buy process and ensure that products are shipped out quickly and efficiently to customers.
• Ensure the reliable performance of your warehouse equipment through consistent preventive maintenance and repair.
• It is important to regularly review and update safety policies to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and to address any potential hazards.
• It's critical to impart the necessary knowledge to associates so they can effectively execute standard operating procedures.
• Provide training and coaching to employees who may require additional assistance or guidance.
• Encourage cross-functional collaboration among different units to improve warehouse productivity.
• Our reports will provide an in-depth analysis of the company's activities, including trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
• Monitor the paperwork trail from Receiving to the Inventory Control Specialist to ensure it is completed within the required timeline.
• Adjusting Disparities in Shipping, Invoices, Packing Slips, and Receiver Reports.
• Apply the Acquiring Storage Inspection Plan.
• Take your counting and inspection process to the next level with the use of stage products.
• Proper storage and rotation practices can also help businesses save money by reducing the need for frequent restocking and significant wastage.
• Pursue other obligations as directed by higher management.
Warehouse Assistant Professional Background:
• The candidate should possess a minimum of one to three years of experience in managing teams in a warehouse or distribution center.
• Demonstrated proficiency in establishing lasting professional connections, constructing successful teams, distributing tasks, and overseeing progress and follow-up.
• Being skilled at achieving goals in partnership with cross-departmental teams.
• Skilled in articulating thoughts through both written and verbal communication techniques.
• Knowledgeable in basic mathematical procedures.
• Equipped with the necessary skill set to competently operate computer systems running on the Windows platform.
• The talent of excelling in a high-speed work environment and fulfilling deadlines promptly.
• Commitment to putting in extra time during periods of high volume.
PHYSICAL/SENSORY REQUIREMENTS
• The job demands the potential to occasionally lift, carry, push, pull, or move items weighing up to 60 pounds and frequently handle objects that weigh 20-30 pounds.
• Expertise in utilizing fine motor control and tactile perception to execute tasks involving objects.
• Tasks such as reaching, crawling, and crouching often happen unconsciously.
