Job Description
A well established food importing and distribution company seeks an order picker/Raymond Reach Operator/Warehouse operative.
Warehouse located in Anjou near Ray Lawson & 3e Croissant
START IMMEDIATELY. Position is full-time and permanent. Approx. 32-40 hrs per week (depending on season)
Duties and responsibilities include:
picking and assembling orders from a printed order. Depending on the number of cases some orders are stacked on the floor, others are assembled on pallets
putting away inventory into the racking
assisting with loading of delivery trucks in the mornings
assisting with unloading of containers and other delivery trucks
assisting with wrapping of pallets (using automated pallet wrapper)
sweeping/mopping warehouse area as necessary
helping in other areas (i.e. repacking broken cases) as necessary
Equipment you will be using:
electric ride-on pallet truck (similar to a BT Lifter - a "jigger") - must have previous experience and certification
Raymond Reach Truck - must have previous experience and certification
2-wheel hand cart
manual pallet pump truck
automated pallet wrapper
You must be physically fit and able to lift boxes/packages that weigh up to 75 lbs. (most weigh less). Most of your day will be spent picking/assembling orders and that requires continuous lifting/handling of cartons.
Your performance will be measured by the speed and accuracy at which you pick orders and by the way you organize the warehouse and your work.
You must be a quick learner, self-motivated and a hard worker.
Must be able to read and write English.
Previous experience required. MINIMUM 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED.
Compensation: To be negotiated based on previous experience.
