Job Purpose
An exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our growing team!
This role will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the warehouse. This position is responsible for supervising daily activities, optimizing workflows, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The role provides leadership to warehouse staff and supports the Warehouse Manager, stepping in to oversee operations in their absence.
Key Accountabilities
Oversee daily contract logistics operations, ensuring smooth workflow and productivity
Implement and monitor standard operating procedures to optimize efficiency
Oversee inventory control processes, ensuring accurate stock levels, timely order fulfillment, and proper storage conditions. Monitor inventory movements and reconcile discrepancies
Maintain accurate records and generate reports on inventory status, warehouse operations, and performance metrics. Report any issues to Warehouse Manager
Proactively identify and address operational bottlenecks
Provide leadership, direction and coaching for all employees in the warehouse
Maintain employee productivity to meet customer service level agreements
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations across all operations
Conduct regular audits and assessments to maintain compliance and mitigate risks
Lead by example in the execution of safe work practices and ensure the continual identification and management of hazards to reduce accidents and injury
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring satisfaction and addressing any operational issues
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will possess the following:
Minimum of 5 years in contract logistics, 3PL or supply chain management, with experience supervising large teams
Proven experience in customer relationship management and contract administration and execution.
Familiarity with the logistics sector in Oceania, including local regulations and market dynamics.
Large volume operational experience
2+ years of supervisor experience
