Job Description
A fast-growing civil engineering consulting firm specializing in water resources engineering is expanding its team. We are seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented, trainable, and exceptional educational background individual in hydrologic and hydraulic theory and computations in water resources engineering to join our team. We will provide necessary guidance and training.
This position involves working on a variety of water resources engineering projects, including storm drain pipe analysis, stormwater management, riverine modeling, stream restoration, Watershed analysis, and design of erosion and sediment controls.
Responsibilities:
• Hydrology and Hydraulics (H&H) analysis, Watershed analysis, drainage area delineation manually and automatically using tools.
• Hydrologic analyses using SCS and Rational Methodology.
• Design and prepare studies and technical reports for water resources projects.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Utilize software such as ArcGIS, Civil 3D/AutoCAD.
• Collect and analyze data.
• Review technical computations and reports.
Qualifications:
• Masters (preferred) / Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Strong educational background
• Strong knowledge of water resources engineering principles and practices.
• Experience in relevant software and tools such as ArcGIS, AutoDesk Civil 3D/AutoCAD, MicroStation, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and other hydrology and water resource management software.
• Knowledge of stormwater management and river restoration projects.
• Experience with Microsoft Project, MS Office Suite, and water resources applications like HydroCAD, PondPak, and other similar tools.
• Proficiency in using various GIS and design tools for civil engineering projects.
• Ability to collect and analyze data using various techniques and tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
