Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Welder Helper to join our dynamic team. The Welder Helper will assist in various welding and fabrication tasks, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This role requires a willingness to learn and adapt, as well as a commitment to safety and quality in all aspects of work.
Duties
Assist welders in preparing materials for welding, including cutting, grinding, and assembling components.
Operate power tools and machinery such as plasma cutters, forklifts, and cranes under supervision.
Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to understand project specifications.
Help fabricate ductwork and other metal structures according to design requirements.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored properly.
Support the welding team by rigging materials for lifting and positioning during fabrication processes.
Participate in safety training sessions and adhere to all safety protocols while on the job site.
Requirements
Basic knowledge of welding techniques and metal fabrication processes is preferred.
Familiarity with power tools, machining equipment, and welding tools is advantageous.
Ability to read schematics and blueprints effectively.
Experience with crane operation or rigging is a plus.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Willingness to learn new skills related to welding and fabrication.
Must be able to lift heavy materials (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
