About the Opportunity

Based in Dalby, the Wellbeing Officer is responsible for developing and implementing Council's health and wellbeing program to support Council's initiatives towards improving the physical, mental and emotional health and wellbeing of employees.



You will be:

Developing, delivering and implementing an innovative and contemporary health and wellbeing program to support Council's initiatives towards creating a healthy workplace;
Actively engage with staff on a regular and ongoing basis as part of promoting a strong wellbeing culture and cohesive team environment;
Preparing, creating and maintaining appropriate correspondence, reports, datasets, other records/documentation, and the associated record keeping, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and monitoring for the review and identification of trends and areas of focus;
Assist the Senior Wellbeing & Rehabilitation Advisor with proactively managing WorkCover claims,


This role is full time, working 36.25 hours per week with a fortnightly RDO.



About yourself

A person in this position will need to hold a relevant Certificate IV in Business Administration, Human Resources or in a related field, OR be able to demonstrate equivalent related experience. It is also highly desirable for the successful candidate to have

Current QLD Rehabilitation Coordinator Certificate;
Current Drivers Licence
Mandatory Vaccinations (or a valid and verifiable contraindication) are to be evidenced when requested by Council.
