Job Title: Part-Time Western Vocal Music Teacher
Location: Winmore Academy Jakkur
Department: Music / Performing Arts
Reporting To: Head of Music / Principal / Coordinator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Part-Time Western Vocal Teacher to deliver engaging and structured vocal training to students. The teacher will work with children or young adults to build their understanding of Western music theory, vocal techniques, and performance skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular Western vocal classes (individual and group) for assigned age groups.
Teach foundational to advanced vocal techniques, breath control, diction, pitch, tone, and musical expression.
Introduce students to different Western music genres (pop, rock, classical, jazz, etc.).
Prepare students for in-house performances, competitions, annual day, or external certification exams (like Trinity or ABRSM – optional).
Design lesson plans aligned with student levels and institutional expectations.
Identify and nurture musical talent in students.
Maintain discipline, attendance records, and evaluation reports.
Collaborate with other music and performing arts teachers for cross-disciplinary programs.
Be available during events or rehearsals outside regular class hours when required.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Proficient in Western vocal techniques and music theory.
Ability to teach a variety of Western music styles.
Strong communication and classroom management skills.
Patience and enthusiasm to work with children or beginners.
Ability to use digital tools or apps for music instruction (if needed).
Qualifications & Experience:
Graduate in Music / Performing Arts OR Diploma in Western Vocal Music.
Certification from Trinity College London, ABRSM, Berklee (preferred).
Minimum 1–3 years of teaching or performance experience in Western vocals.
Experience working with children in a school or studio setup is an advantage.
Work Schedule:
Part-time | [e.g., 2–3 days a week or 4–8 hours per week]
Flexible timings based on school/academy schedule
Availability for performances and rehearsals during events
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
