Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and experienced PostgreSQL Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 4-6 years of experience in PostgreSQL Database Administration, and be able to work collaboratively with other members of a team.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Monitor and maintain PostgreSQL databases, including performance tuning, query optimization, backup, and recovery
• Develop and implement database security measures
• Design, develop, and deploy database schemas and objects
• Perform data migration and manipulation
• Analyze and troubleshoot database issues
• Develop and implement database maintenance plans
• Implement and maintain database replication
• Manage database storage and capacity
• Monitor database performance and provide recommendations for improvements
• Develop and deploy disaster recovery plans
• Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to optimize and improve database performance
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices
Skills & Qualifications:
• 4-6 years of experience in PostgreSQL Database Administration
• Expert knowledge of database structures, theories, principles, and practices
• Experience with database replication and clustering technologies
• Knowledge of SQL and scripting languages
• Understanding of data security and encryption technologies
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose database issues
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• A self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
