About THE KRIPT:
THE KRIPT is a forward-thinking fashion brand committed to creating trendsetting and innovative designs. We are looking for a talented Freelance Fashion Designer who shares our passion for creativity, excellence, and pushing the boundaries of fashion.
Reports to: CEO and Head of Design Team
Key Responsibilities:
Design Development:
Create innovative fashion collections that align with THE KRIPT’s brand identity and market demand.
Collaborate with the design team to develop seasonal concepts, color palettes, and fabric selections.
Produce detailed technical sketches and CAD drawings for prototypes and production.
Conduct thorough research on fashion trends, materials, and consumer preferences.
Develop mood boards to represent the direction of collections, ensuring alignment with the brand’s vision.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with the production team to ensure design feasibility and adherence to quality standards.
Present design concepts and collections to the team for feedback and approval.
Collaborate with overseas suppliers and sample machinists to bring designs to life.
Attend virtual design meetings, presenting ideas and working collaboratively with the marketing and production teams.
Project Management:
Manage the critical path schedule, ensuring the timely completion of all design-related tasks.
Coordinate with designers and other external partners as needed.
Maintain organized records of design processes, fabric swatches, and technical specifications.
Travel Requirements:
Travel to our office in China is required for 4 months each year to work closely with the production team and suppliers.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in fashion design, with a focus on womenswear.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other design software.
Strong understanding of garment construction and technical specifications.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for fashion trends and a keen eye for detail.
