Role Summary:
We are looking for passionate and creative World Language Teachers for Kannada, who can introduce students to the richness of regional languages through interactive, inquiry-based methods aligned with the IB PYP framework.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging Kannada lessons to primary and early years students
• Integrate language learning with IB transdisciplinary units of inquiry
• Encourage multilingual and multicultural understanding and effective communication skills
• Maintain authentic learning portfolios and assess student progress regularly
• Collaborate with homeroom teachers to enhance interdisciplinary connections
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Kannada or related field (B.Ed preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in primary or early years (IB experience is a plus)
• Strong understanding of child-centric and interactive teaching methods
• Proficient in English and the target language (spoken and written)
• A flexible, collaborative, and enthusiastic approach to teaching
