Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily yard and marina duties as directed by the Yard Foreman or General Manager
Safely launch and haul vessels using marine travel lift, ramp, and yard equipment
Operate yard vehicles including Con-O-Lift trailer and Bobcat Versa-Lift
Assist with landscaping, general yard cleanup, and building maintenance
Operate tender boats as needed for member support and mooring access
Conduct safety checks and report equipment or facility deficiencies
Monitor outside contractors working on-site and communicate with management
Enforce marina and parking regulations, reporting issues to management
Adhere to all DYC and Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) regulations
Qualifications & Skills:
Must be physically fit and able to perform heavy lifting and manual labour
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Assets Required:
Valid Driver's License
Assets Preferred:
Prior experience in marina or yard operations
Travel Lift Certification and/or Telehandler Certification
Fall Arrest Certification
First Aid & CPR
WHMIS Certification
Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC)
VHF Marine Radio Operator Certificate [ROC(M)]
Important Notes:
Safety Training will be provided where required.
MUST be legally permitted to work in Canada. There is no sponsorship opportunity with this position.
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
