We're Hiring: Youth Leader (1Year Fixed-Term Contract)
Location: Bushey United Synagogue Hours: 6 hours per week (primarily Sundays or weekdays) Salary: £32,760.00 (pro rata) Contract: 1Year Fixed-Term
Are you passionate about inspiring the next generation?
Bushey United Synagogue is looking for a creative, motivated, and well-organised Youth Leader to join our vibrant community. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact by delivering engaging and meaningful programming for youth aged 11–18.
Working alongside our current Youth Director, you’ll help create a warm, inclusive, and fun environment that resonates with young people from diverse backgrounds and levels of observance.
What You’ll Do:
Lead and support weekday youth programming
Occasionally assist with Shabbat and High Holy Day (Yamim Noraim) activities
Build strong relationships with youth and their families
Bring energy, creativity, and Jewish values to everything you do
What We’re Looking For:
Enthusiastic and approachable personality
Strong communication and organisational skills
A passion for Jewish youth engagement
Experience working with young people is a plus
