Job Description
• Provide legal counsel to the leadership on academic, administrative, and operational matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, MOUs, and agreements with external parties.
• Ensure compliance with state and central government laws, including UGC, AICTE, and other statutory guidelines.
• Represent the Indira Group of Institutes in legal proceedings, including disputes, litigations, and arbitrations if any.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and handle approvals and documentation.
• Develop and implement internal policies to mitigate legal risks.
• Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting higher education institutions.
• Train and guide staff on legal matters and compliance requirements.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Law (LLB/LLM) from a recognized university.
• 10+ years of experience in legal practice, preferably in the education sector or corporate legal department.
• Strong knowledge of Indian education laws, labor laws, and contractual frameworks.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in legal research and drafting.
CTC- 10-12LPA (depending on the experience & expertise)
