MLS Specialist (Employment Paralegal)

Role Overview

Vario is a market leading alternative legal services provider within the law firm, Pinsent Masons. It is unique in the legal sector. Vario is a practice group within Pinsent Masons which incorporates; Flexible Services, Consulting and Technology, Legal Project Management and Managed Legal Services (MLS). This role sits within our MLS team.

As the Vario team grows, we are recruiting a Specialist to support our MLS Delivery teams in ensuring that we are delivering a world class legal service to our practice groups and external clients. Reporting to our Delivery Manager, the successful candidate will:
• Working as a subject matter expert, this role will support our lawyers with a variety of more complex technical work in their area of expertise as well as client relationship activity
• Leading delivery of small-medium scale projects and lower complexity matters in collaboration with LPM’s and/or practice group fee earners
• Supervise and quality check the work of more junior colleagues
• Mentor junior members of the team and support their upskilling
• Support the Senior Specialist and the Delivery Manager to develop and implement new Employment work services and solutions

Our standard working hours are +.30am-5.30pm, however, we are happy to consider flexible working requests.

We are looking for candidates who ideally hold the following skills and experience:
• Demonstrable experience of working on Employment work types
• Broad experience of working in a large, commercial law firm
• Understanding of levels of service and capabilities required in alternative delivery models
