Job Responsibilities:
• Litigation Leadership: Assume a leadership role within the litigation department, providing strategic direction and guidance to associates and support staff
• Client Representation: Represent clients in various litigation matters, including civil, criminal, and administrative cases, both at trial and appellate levels
• Case Management: Oversee and manage a portfolio of complex litigation cases, ensuring that client matters are handled efficiently and effectively
• Legal Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth legal research, analyze case laws, statutes, and regulations to formulate sound legal strategies for clients
• Client Counseling: Advise and counsel clients on legal matters, providing clear and practical advice while maintaining a strong client relationship
• Business Development: Actively contribute to the firm's business development efforts by attracting and retaining clients, participating in marketing initiatives, and expanding the firm's litigation practice
• Mentorship and Training: Provide mentorship and training to junior associates, fostering their professional development and growth within the firm
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable ethical and professional standards and guidelines
Job Requirements:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB). A master's degree would be an added advantage
• Minimum 7 years of experience practicing law, with a proven track record in litigation
• Enrollment as an advocate with the Bar Council of India
• Proven track record of successfully handling complex litigation cases
• Exceptional legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Business development acumen with a demonstrated ability to attract and retain clients
• Ethical and professional conduct with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of legal practice.
