Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accountancy Executive to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of GST, tax regulations, profit and loss statements, and the book of accounts. This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial record-keeping and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Experience: 1- 3 years
Key Responsibilities:
GST Compliance and Management:
Prepare and file GST returns accurately and on time.
Ensure compliance with GST regulations and promptly resolve any issues or discrepancies.
Maintain records of all GST transactions and prepare necessary reports for internal and external audits.
Taxation:
Assist in the preparation and filing of direct and indirect tax returns.
Ensure timely payment of taxes and compliance with tax regulations.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and changes to ensure company compliance.
Financial Statements and Reporting:
Prepare and analyse profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data in the accounting system.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
Book of Accounts:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts.
Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all financial transactions.
Audit and Compliance:
Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and information.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial data.
General Accounting Duties:
Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.
Support other accounting and finance-related tasks as needed.
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Develop and maintain accounting procedures and policies.
Provide training and support to junior accounting staff.
General Support:
Support the finance team with ad-hoc financial analysis and projects.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
Assist with payroll processing and related activities.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of GST regulations, tax laws, and accounting principles.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in financial records.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
