Job Summary:
The Junior Accountant is a crucial member of the finance and accounting team, contributing to various financial tasks with a focus on compliance with Indian accounting standards and regulations. This role involves working with financial data, maintaining accurate records, and actively participating in the preparation of financial reports. Additionally, expertise in GST filing and proficiency in Tally software are key components of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Enter financial transactions into the accounting system, emphasizing compliance with GST regulations.
• Maintain well-organized and accurate financial records, ensuring GST details are appropriately documented.
• Process vendor invoices, including the accurate recording of GST details, and facilitate timely payments in compliance with GST laws.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions, ensuring GST input credit is appropriately accounted for.
• Generate and dispatch customer invoices, incorporating GST details, and record and reconcile accounts receivable transactions accordingly.
• Reconcile bank statements, verifying the accuracy of financial records, including the reconciliation of GST-related transactions.
• Ensure accurate and timely filing of GST returns, adhering to Indian regulatory requirements.
• Utilize Tally software for efficient and accurate financial data management.
• Assist in preparations for audits, emphasizing compliance with GST regulations.
• Assist with special projects as assigned by the Senior Accountant, ensuring GST compliance in project-specific financial activities.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, aligned with Indian accounting standards and GST regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Tally software, and familiarity with Indian accounting software.
• Basic understanding of Indian accounting principles and practices, with specific expertise in GST filing.
• Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
