Accounts Payable Executive – Solar Industry
Role Overview
The Accounts Payable Executive will be responsible for managing vendor payments, expense tracking, and reconciliation processes for solar projects (rooftop C&I and ground-mount). This role ensures accurate financial records, timely disbursements, and compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Vendor Payments
Process invoices for solar modules, inverters, structures, cables, and other project materials.
Verify purchase orders, contracts, and delivery notes before releasing payments.
Ensure timely payments to vendors while maintaining healthy cash flow.
Expense Management
Track project-related expenses and align them with budgets.
Monitor advances, settlements, and reimbursements for site teams.
Highlight cost variances to management for corrective action.
Reconciliation & Reporting
Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies.
Prepare AP aging reports and maintain payment schedules.
Support monthly closing activities and audits.
Compliance & Documentation
Ensure adherence to GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements.
Maintain accurate records of invoices, receipts, and payment approvals.
Coordinate with procurement and finance teams for smooth workflows.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting.
2–4 years of experience in Accounts Payable, preferably in solar/renewable energy or EPC industry.
Strong knowledge of vendor payment cycles, statutory compliance, and ERP/accounting systems (Tally/ERP).
Proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting tools.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical ability.
