ACCOUNTANT (3-Month Contract)
We're looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join our team on a 3-month contract basis out of Port Credit location. If you're someone who takes ownership of your work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is looking to make a real contribution, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
As part of our finance team, you'll be responsible for supporting the day-to-day and month-end accounting functions, including:
Preparing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate account records
Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing and aging schedules
Executing month-end close procedures and posting journal entries
Performing balance sheet reconciliations with variance analysis against budget
Coordinating with internal departments to gather information needed for reporting
Supporting HST filings and other regulatory submissions
Assisting with audit preparation and responding to auditor requests
Contributing to process improvement initiatives and internal control documentation
Taking on ad hoc finance projects as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Actively pursuing a professional Accounting designation
2–3 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, and IFRS reporting
Hands-on experience with AP management and month-end close processes
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience with Oracle NetSuite
Background in process development and internal controls
