About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accountant to join the team for a full-time position, reporting to the General Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations
Managing accounts payable functions
Preparation and issuance of invoices, accounts and financial statements
Investigating and resolving billing and account discrepancies
Processing journal entries and performing accounting corrections
Preparing quarterly Business Activity Statements
Creating and analysing financial reports
Summarising the End-of-year financial status
Preparing the yearly rental budget and monthly financial management report
Preparing the monthly financial management report
Working closely with the General Manager in evaluating complex business, technology and fraud risks
The role requires the following skills and qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (required)
Relevant experience (preferred)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail
Sound organisational and time management skills
Approachability in dealing with internal and external parties
A high level of motivation and initiative with a positive 'can-do' attitude
Proactivity and improvement orientation, with the ability to work under limited supervision, set priorities and meet deadlines
