Position: Accountant
Salary $82,000- $85,000
The Sydney office (located at Level 26, 25 Bligh Street Sydney NSW 2000) is seeking an experienced and responsible Accountant to fulfill a full-time position providing services relating to compliance-based financial reporting, insolvency and accounting information systems.
Your role will be:
Preparing taxation returns and liaising with the ATO.
Preparing quarterly and monthly client BASs.
External administration statutory reporting to ASIC (including conducting financial investigations/analysis for statutory and creditor reporting).
Liaise with financial institutions to establish client and office funds protocols and oversee funds management control systems.
Assist in the preparation of monthly and yearly financial statements and reporting findings to the Principals.
Assist with preparation of multiple company cash flow forecasts, actuals and collections reporting sourced from Profit & Loss reports for distribution to Principals and Managers.
Coordinating, supervising and implementing budgetary and accounting policies
Set up and maintain internal control systems.
Oversee maintenance of insolvency specialist management/ accounting software
Monitor and supervise day-to-day financial operations such as payroll, supplier payments, customer invoicing, and other transactions.
Desired skills and experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:
Evidence of a minimum of three year full-time relevant work experience.
Bachelors degree or qualifications in a related field.
Membership or recognition for membership with an Affiliated Association/Body is advantageous but not essential.
Proficient understanding and knowledge of relevant statutory legislation and regulations.
Proficient knowledge of accounting principles.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Attention to detail and time management skills.
