Location: Sandpoint, ID
Employment Type: Full Time
The Accountant is responsible for several client companies’ general accounting needs including accounts payable processes, payroll and benefits submissions, preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet schedules and ledgers, and account reconciliations. Assist with monthly closings, account analysis and support the team in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting department. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in accounting principles and be able to juggle multiple accounting responsibilities across both companies.

Job Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day accounting functions for both companies, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
Prepare weekly cash forecasting reporting for management review.
Review employee expense reimbursement requests and payroll benefit changes.
Review corporate credit cards for coding and receipts/invoices.
Manage the cash management function including posting customer payments and remitting accounts payable payments.
Monthly reconciliation of bank accounts and balance sheet accounts.
Other Accounting duties as needed including but not limited to Journal Entries and other reporting requirements.
Experience/Skills Required
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business with emphasis in Accounting, Finance or related field.
Minimum 2 years of accounting experience.
Working knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
Must have great attention to detail and be self-motivated.
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and work independently or as a team.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong communication skills.
Experience working in Quickbooks systems a plus.
Salary/Rate : Dependent on experience
