The Role
We are currently seeking a full-time Accountant for our India Business. This position will operate from our Bengaluru office.
What you’ll do:
• Responsible for managing India accounting, treasury, and tax functions.
• Ensure compliance with Companies Act and other compliance, filing and reporting
• Taxes – GST / TDS / PF / PT / STPI compliance
• Treasury – Forecasting/Planning skills
• Statutory Compliance – TDS and GST returns / Audits, etc.
• Manage local payroll and accounts payable
• Create and enhance processes and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Responsible for Monthly MIS and reporting
• Be the local point of contact for accounting, finance, payroll, expense questions
• Export compliances and export invoices
• Vendor listing and payments process.
• Actively reviewing existing processes, take suggestions from the team for process improvements, implement changes.
What you bring:
• 5+ years Accounting, Tax and/or Finance experience.
• Problem solver with attention to detail, and not afraid to make decisions.
• Thrives with ambiguity and an unstructured environment.
• Comfortable engaging with Senior Mgmt./VPs and across geographies.
• Strong data analysis Excel skills.
• Excellent communications skills (must speak & write in fluent English).
• Strong working knowledge of India GAAP and good accounting knowledge.
• Previously worked in Service export companies – First and best preference.
• NetSuite experience a plus!
Education
• Chartered Accountant (0-2 years of experience), MBA in finance (3-5 years of experience), B.com Graduate (5+ years of experience)
