Job Description
• Day to day Bookkeeping for all clients, such as individuals, partnerships, SMSF and companies.
• Responsible for daily banking, reconciliation of all general ledger accounts, including prepayments and accruals.
• Prepare reconciliation of Debtors, Creditors, Bank and inter entity loan
• Preparation of Depreciation schedules and rental property schedules
• Prepare Hire Purchase Schedule and pass the adjustment entry
• Preparation and Review of GST Return (IAS and BAS) Monthly, Quarterly and Annually.
• Review of income and expenses with an analytical approach
• Managing payroll for all employees in XERO and MYOB including superannuation
• Preparation and Review of Monthly and Quarterly Management Report
• Preparation of Payroll tax, workers' compensation, and TPAR
• Preparation of Financial Statement and Income Tax Return of Company, Trust, Partnership and Individual (including review, queries, discussion with Sydney Manager)
• Preparation of FBT Returns
• Preparation of supporting work-papers for all the Returns
• Dealing with Div 7A and sub-trust issues and advice to client for Tax implication and also calculate interest and minimum repayment.
• Discuss with Manager and adjustments to accounts at the end of the year.
• Calculation of capital gains tax on the sale of shares and investment properties.
• Assist with tax planning and research
• Learn emerging trends in the accounting field to continue professional development in the area of taxation
• Assistance with practice management as needed, including supervision of a bookkeeper as needed.
• Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
• Identify areas for improvement and implement improvements to processes
