Creatures of Habit is a sustainable clothing brand based out of Mumbai. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Accountant to join our team in our Bandra(W) office. The ideal candidate should have a flair for numbers and a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in managing the finance and accounts function for an apparel company. Excellent knowledge of costing, management accounting, tally, Google Sheets, and Excel is a must. This role offers a flexible working environment and the opportunity to be part of a growing startup.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the day-to-day finance and accounting functions of the company.
• Ensure that all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
• Prepare financial reports and statements on a regular basis.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Analyze financial data and provide recommendations for cost savings and revenue generation.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that financial information is accurate and timely.
• Stay up-to-date with current trends in accounting and finance.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience managing the finance and accounts function for an apparel company.
• Expert knowledge of costing, management accounting, tally, Google Sheets, and Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
