The Role
We at Aliens are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Accountant as part of our high performing Accounts team with at least of 1 year of accounting experience in similar profile across industry. The incumbent will be the sole owner of ensuring error free and updated bookkeeping, accounting and auditing standards.
S/he will be required to take care of all the aspects of billing, cost and rate management for the organisation. The incumbent would work in a high-paced team environment with multiple team members. S/he would be based out of Hyderabad and would report to the Accounts Head.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform bookkeeping work, including posting data or keeping other records concerning costs of goods or services etc.
• Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
• Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within the organization
• Process payment applications for monthly billings; verify accuracy of billing data and revise any errors
• Prepare itemized statements, bills, or invoices and record amounts due for items purchased or services rendered
• Perform cost-benefit analysis to compare operating programs, review financial requests, or explore alternative financing methods
• Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs
• Direct the preparation of regular and special budget reports; install or advise on systems of recording costs or other financial and budgetary data
• Co- ordination with billing team, top management along with extending support to direct vendor management
• Assisting respective teams in handling month-end, quarter-end and year-end closings
• Computation of all the taxes and preparing tax returns in a time-bound manner
• Ensure timely bank payments and maintain utmost interaction levels with stakeholders
Candidate Profile
Specifically, the candidate should have:
• ICWA/CA 1st or 2nd attempt or MBA(Finance) from NIRF ranked institute/ stellar academic record or semi-qualifies CA (qualified IPCC exam)
• Professional working Experience with tally, other accounting software, data base user interface and query software, Enterprise Resource Planning ERP Software, Financial Analysis Software, Tax Preparation Software etc.
• Theoretical and practical working knowledge of basic accounting principles (i.e. journal entries, debits, credits, etc.) and accounting functions
• Theoretical and professional working knowledge of Economics and Accounting, Mathematics, Tax and Government regulations etc.
• Excellent organizational skills and must be proficient with Excel (Vlookup, pivot tables etc.), Word and Outlook applications
• Ability to accurately work under pressure in meeting deadline
