For more information, visit Worley.com Job Title: Accountant I Key Accountabilities • Perform analytical review of profit and loss accounts and balance sheet as required • Working closely with the SSC to trouble shoot accounts payable queries and addressing queries from location that fall out of scope for the SCC • Perform month end tasks for non-SSC supported entities including HFM journals, HFM schedules and addressing intercompany mismatches • Detailed monthly review of balance sheet reconciliations prepared by the SSC for accuracy, arranging for reconciling items to be cleared and improve reconciliation methods where possible • Assist with tax and year end audit queries • Assist to manage and monitor bank access with the help of treasury and the SSC • Manage our lease accounting process including reviewing lease agreements and data in a centralised database to ensure monthly journal output is accurate • Perform analytical review of profit and loss accounts and balance sheet as required • Working closely with the SSC to trouble shoot accounts payable queries and addressing queries from location that fall out of scope for the SCC • Perform month end tasks for non-SSC supported entities including HFM journals, HFM schedules and addressing intercompany mismatches • Detailed monthly review of balance sheet reconciliations prepared by the SSC for accuracy, arranging for reconciling items to be cleared and improve reconciliation methods where possible • Assist with tax and year end audit queries • Assist to manage and monitor bank access with the help of treasury and the SSC • Manage our lease accounting process including reviewing lease agreements and data in a centralised database to ensure monthly journal output is accurate Qualifications • Possess at least a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, professional accounting qualifications (ACCA /CIMA /CPA) will be an advantage. • At least 2+ years of relevant work experience in General ledger month-end processes, statutory reporting and other finance areas - Preferred candidate with initial years of working experience with public accounting firm and candidates from Big 4 highly regarded _________________________________________________________________________ Knowledge & Skill • Must be hands-on and able to deliver quality work within stipulated timeline. • Must have good communication and problem-solving skills with the initiative to be able to reach out and communicate to others within the business to drive solutions • Other attributes include being organized, resourceful and flexible enough to work independently in a fast-paced and changing environment • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel (Advanced) • Prior experience with Oracle, Blackline, HFM & Hyperion reporting platforms, or other major SAP system’s work environment is highly regarded • Meticulous, analytical, responsible, and diligent, positive working attitude and a high level of initiative.
