Considering candidates with 2-5 yrs of exp CTC 45K Location - Vadodara (work from office - Day 1) • Position Title: Junior Accountant • Department: Finance • Reports To: Senior Accountant/Finance Manager Job Summary The Junior Accountant is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day financial and accounting operations of the organization. This role involves supporting senior staff in various tasks related to bookkeeping, financial reporting, and compliance. The Junior Accountant will work closely with other members of the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial information. Key Responsibilities • Bookkeeping: • Record day-to-day financial transactions, including purchases, expenses, and income. • Maintain and update general ledger accounts. • Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents. • Accounts Payable: • Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments. • Verify and reconcile discrepancies in invoices or purchase orders. • Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions. • Accounts Receivable: • Generate and send out customer invoices. • Follow up on overdue payments and communicate with clients regarding outstanding balances. • Record and reconcile customer payments. • Financial Reporting: • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. • Compile and analyze financial information to support decision-making. • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulations. • Assistance in Audits: • Provide support during internal and external audits. • Prepare audit schedules and respond to auditor inquiries. • Financial Analysis: • Assist in analyzing financial data and trends. • Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes. • Compliance: • Stay informed about changes in financial regulations and legislation. • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards. • Ad hoc Tasks: • Assist with special projects or tasks as assigned by senior finance personnel. • Collaborate with team members on process improvements. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications • Relevant internship or work experience in accounting or finance. • Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks or SAP.
