Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll processing.
• Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and budgets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and company policies.
• Perform month-end and year-end close processes, reconciling accounts and preparing journal entries as necessary.
• Analyze financial data and trends, providing insights and recommendations to management for decision-making purposes.
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules, ensuring proper classification and valuation of assets.
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations to support audit procedures.
• Monitor cash flow, forecasting cash needs, and optimizing cash management strategies to ensure liquidity and financial stability.
• Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives, providing financial expertise and guidance as needed.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices, ensuring adherence to relevant guidelines and recommending adjustments as necessary.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of VAT regulations, guidelines, and updates relevant to the organization's operations. Prepare and file VAT returns accurately and timely in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification preferred.
• 7-8 years of progressive experience in accounting roles, with a strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify trends or anomalies.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of financial integrity.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Proven leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to mentor and develop junior accounting staff.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in a supervisory or managerial role is advantageous.
• Knowledge of relevant accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
