Must demonstrate attention to detail and have minimum of six months of accounting experience or accounting-related education in lieu of work experience is required
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook
Education Requirements: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalency and be 18 at time of hire
Previous accounting experience is required
Responsibilities
Summary:The Accounting Assistant will assist Chileda's finance department with various tasks, including data entry for monthly invoices, credit card reconciliations, and other duties as assigned
The position requires the ability to multi-task and to ensure accuracy of work
Efficiently and accurately record the day-to-day activities of accounts payable, credit card reconciliations, cash disbursements, and cash receipts
Maintain AP vendor listing, create new vendors as needed, and request W-+s
Assist with monthly AR billing and posting of payments
Assist with annual Cost report and DPI report
Assist with external audits, including financial statements, workers compensation, funder/county
Assist with maintenance of records and filing
Be knowledgeable of the rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and accreditation standards that Chileda is required to follow in the finance department
