Responsibilities
We are looking for an intern to assist in the day-to-day functions of our Accounting department
The Intern will assist the Senior Manager of Funding & Accounting in providing financial, administrative, and clerical services
This involves processing purchase advices, reconciling investor wires, making payoffs, paying invoices, sending funding wires, maintaining financial records, and various administrative duties
Process daily purchase advices to ensure accuracy of entries and proper write backs
Process, balance, and post daily payoffs and settlements from investors
Backup and support to the Funding department such as ordering wires, reconciling funding data, and clearing funding conditions
Backup and support to the Accounting Lead such as processing invoices and managing emails from shared inboxes
Maintain and track vendors on autopayments
Process daily deposits and prepare journal entries of miscellaneous checks
Complete any additional duties assigned by management
Complete regulatory and compliance training as required
Assist WMC employees and departments as needed
