Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an entry-level Accounting Clerk. As a part of the team, you will be primarily responsible for managing accounts payable, assisting with assorted reconciliations, and helping mitigate P/L risk for the company. You will manage our relationships with our vendors, ensuring timely and accurate payments and ensure all vendor information in our system is correct. You’ll work directly with the controller on variously recurring financial reports and reconciliations. Krosswood Doors is growing, and the responsibilities of this role will grow over time. This role is located near downtown, Salt Lake City.
Responsibilities:
• Manage vendor relationships and correspondences including payments and credit terms
• Work with purchasing on managing credit lines and onboarding new vendors
• Maintain accurate vendor records in our system
• Ensure timely vendor payments whenever possible
• Bank reconciliations – weekly reconciliation of cash accounts
• Credit card reconciliations – monthly reconciliation of employee credit cards
• Daily misc. data entry – timeliness and accuracy are critical
• Assist the controller with various ad-hoc tasks as needed
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and data accuracy in our system
• This is a full time in office position.
Required Qualifications
• Recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field OR a high school diploma with 2+ years of experience in accounting/record keeping
• Basic understanding of financial statements and reporting
• Basic understanding of technical accounting (debits/credits, account relationships)
• Proficient in Excel
Preferred Qualifications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Experience with NetSuite
