Job Summary
The Vice President of Accounting will be responsible for overseeing the accounting and financial reporting for PCF Insurance. This role will also focus on ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, developing accounting strategies, and supporting the overall financial goals of the organization. Additionally, the Vice President of Accounting will be responsible for building and maintaining robust accounting processes, setting performance targets their team and driving process improvements within the accounting department.
Duties And Responsibilities
• Direct the companies accounting function and ensure adherence to GAAP standards
• Manage the corporate accounting team and regional controllers
• Oversee the closing process for month-end and year-end, including preparing financial statements for internal and external stakeholders
• Reform and refine existing processes for improved efficiency and proper internal controls
• Oversee the timely and accurate completion of GL account reconciliations
• Coordinate external audits
• Prepare and assess required financial reports, including contributing in the preparation of the monthly Board book
• Responsible for development and maintenance of appropriate internal controls over financial reporting
• Lead team in identification of process improvements and enhancements; develop a processing “center of excellence”
• Provide meaningful interpretation and analysis of financial data
• Assist with due diligence on acquisitions; lead integration of newly acquired businesses
• Report directly to CFO
Qualifications
• 10+ years of Accounting Leadership Experience
• Big 4 experience (preferred)
• Deep expertise, market relationships and strong visibility in the insurance marketplace.(Preferred)
• Proven progressive track recording driving new business results.
• A consultative, positive, and resourceful approach to dealing with prospects, clients and associates.
• Highly developed organization and time management skills.
• Strong listening, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong degree of self-motivation with a demonstrated ability to lead/motivate others.
• Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA or CPA encouraged
Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience
Schedule: Full-time.
Location: Onsite – Lehi, UT.
