To thrive, you should have:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable and month-end accounting processes.
• Superior Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with electronic accounting systems (Sage 100C a plus).
• Bachelor's degree preferred; CPA certification a plus but not required.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with other departments.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience with contract review and comprehension.
Your role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Accountant who can successfully lead the company’s Accounts Payable process, oversee Capital Spending, and assist the Plant Controller with month-end-related activities. You will be expected to perform the following successfully:
• Manage and process all accounts payable, ensuring timely invoice handling and accurate entry into the accounting system.
• Route and oversee invoice approvals by company policy.
• Maintain and electronically archive invoice support data on the company shared drive.
• Assist the Plant Controller with tracking capital spending, month-end reconciliations, and monthly close processes.
• Provide support for external audits, tax filings, and other reporting requirements.
