Our client is a boutique CPA firm specializing in providing comprehensive accounting and tax services to clients in the real estate industry. Their team of dedicated professionals is committed to delivering personalized attention and expert financial advice to help real estate clients achieve their business objectives. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Accountant with a passion to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, experience working with real estate clients and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service. Accountant Responsibilities: - Manage accounting functions for real estate clients, including property management companies, real estate investors and developers
- Prepare financial statements, cash flow projections and other financial reports specific to the real estate industry
- Conduct thorough analysis of property financials, including revenue, expenses and operating costs
- Assist clients with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning for real estate projects and investments
- Perform cost segregation studies and depreciation analyses to optimize tax benefits for real estate clients
- Collaborate with clients and real estate professionals to identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations and best practices in real estate accounting and taxation
- Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on accounting, tax and financial matters related to real estate transactions and investments Accountant Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required
- CPA certification preferred
- Proven experience in public accounting or a similar role, with a focus on real estate clients
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Yardi) and Microsoft Excel
- Strong understanding of real estate accounting principles, including lease accounting, property management and cost allocation
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and real estate professionals
