IMMI, a growing manufacturing company, is seeking an Accountant to join its corporate headquarters in Westfield, Indiana. IMMI started in 1+61 and recently became an ESOP, allowing team members to become 'team owners' and share in the company's future success. IMMI is a dynamic company serving over eleven different markets, for hundreds of customers, in multiple countries.
The Accountant will report directly to the Director of Accounting. This role will work alongside other accountants at the corporate office while also collaborating with the Company's global accounting staff. Hybrid is available for this position, with the opportunity to work two days remote per week.
The position's primary responsibilities will be associated with balance sheet reconciliations, month-end close and financial reporting. However, there will also be opportunities to perform financial analysis, engage in process improvement, drive process documentation and participate on cross-functional teams. LOCATION: Hybrid- Westfield, IN
RESPONSIBLITIES:
• Assist with all internal and external reporting requirements to ensure timely and accurate GAAP reporting
• Prepare timely and accurate balance sheet reconciliations
• Support the Corporate Group period close processes. Such activities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Manage accounting period status (Open, Close, Future-Entry).
• Manage assigned journal entries, including reversing prior period journal entries.
• Assist with development of management presentations.
• Manage intercompany transactions.
• Generate standard financial reporting packages.
• Perform first level review of financial reporting packages and resolve issues identified during the initial review.
• Support external financial statement audits and related information requests
QUALIFICATIONS:
The candidate should have the following characteristics:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting (required)
• Moderate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables & v-lookup at minimum)
• Demonstrable working knowledge of GAAP
• Strong work ethic
• A positive and enthusiastic outlook
• Excellent cultural fit
Additional characteristics that would be a competitive advantage are:
• CPA license
• Internship experience in public accounting or private industry
• Knowledge of consolidated financial statements
• Direct or indirect experience with a public accounting firm
• Oracle experience
• Insight Software (fmr: GL Wand) experience
