We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join our finance team. The accountant will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
Responsibilities:
• Process and manage accounts payable, including verifying invoices, coding expenses, and preparing payments.
• Assist with accounts receivable, including invoicing, tracking payments, and following up on outstanding balances.
• Maintain and update general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, including account reconciliations and financial report preparation.
• Support the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Assist with budget preparation and monitoring, as well as variance analysis.
• Maintain organized and accurate filing systems for financial records and documents.
• Assist with ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned by the Accounting Manager or Finance Director.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with ERP/accounting software.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
