6+ Years of bookkeeping, accounting, or closely related financial experience is required
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Bill.com is required
Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field

Responsibilities
The Accountant will handle various financial tasks for a private foundation and family office
This includes paying invoices, recording financial transactions, entering payroll, reconciliations, preparing financial statements, and keeping up to date with new regulations
This is a full-time position, based in Boston
Track invoice obligations, make accurate and timely payments, gain approval where necessary, and identify and report inaccuracies and variances
Track foundation bank accounts and balances; report regularly to management
Audit and ensure the accuracy of financial documents for payment and tax purposes
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports
Input payroll information on a bi-monthly basis or as needed
Maintain detailed records of outstanding payables and other financial information
Ensure compliance with local law and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Proactively keeps up to date on new regulations and principles
Provide other clerical support to accounting and bookkeeping processes
Additional tasks as needed
