Position: Accountant I Direct Hire I Growth Opportunities

Job Duties:
• Enter transactions (AP/AR), create journal entries, reconcile accounts, and perform all duties required to close the books monthly/quarterly/annually.
• Work with the General Manager to ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and GAAP.
• Handle month-end close and publish financial reports by the fifth business day.
• Collaborate with the executive leadership team to create and update the annual operating plan.
• Complete ad hoc analyses and presentations as requested by executive leaders.
• Prepare weekly cash planning spreadsheet and review with corporate leadership team.
• Prepare external reports for government agencies and external auditors and internal financial reports and analyses on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Act as a liaison with a CPA firm regarding tax matters and file all required Sales and Use Tax returns.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Schedule:
• Full-time
• Monday through Friday
• 1st shift
Compensation:
• Base pay: $65,000 - $85,000 annually, paid in bi-weekly installments
• 401(k) Plan participation
• 2 weeks PTO
Requirements:
• Bachelors degree with appropriate major, at a minimum.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a corporate accounting department or CPA firm.
• Highly proficient computer skills, including MS Office software and ERP platforms.
• Experience working in Oracle Net Suite ERP or other large ERP system.
• Ability to close the books monthly and perform transaction accounting.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in an office environment and occasionally in a manufacturing facility or warehouse environment.
• High internal standards for ethics and integrity.
• Analytical problem-solver and proactive insight in accounting compliance or financial planning needs.
• Effective communicator throughout all levels of the organization.
Preferred Skills:
• MBA in accounting, finance, business or other related field.
• Working knowledge of month-end close cycles and GAAP requirements.
• CPA, CMA certification.
• Net Suite Experience.
