Job Description
Financial Record Maintenance: Keeping accurate records of financial transactions, including purchases, expenses, receipts, and payments. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Assisting with processing invoices, verifying transactions, and ensuring timely payment to vendors. Also, tracking and following up on outstanding receivables from customers. Bank Reconciliation: Comparing internal financial records with bank statements to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies. Assisting with Financial Reporting: Helping prepare financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, by gathering and organizing relevant data. Payroll Processing: Supporting payroll activities by calculating wages, preparing payroll checks, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. Tax Preparation Support: Assisting in gathering necessary documentation and information for tax returns, including income statements, expense records, and deduction receipts. Expense Management: Monitoring and managing company expenses, including tracking employee reimbursement requests and ensuring compliance with company policies. Financial Analysis: Conducting basic financial analysis, such as calculating key financial ratios or trends, to assist in decision-making processes. Audit Support: Assisting auditors during internal or external audits by providing documentation, explaining procedures, and addressing inquiries. Software Proficiency: Being proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Excel, or specialized ERP systems to input data, generate reports, and perform other tasks efficiently. Communication: Communicating effectively with team members, clients, vendors, and auditors to ensure smooth financial operations and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
