Job Description
• Conducts physical site visits to measure and verify the work completed and cross-reference it with Joint Measurement Sheet and specifications. This is a critical step in reconciling quantities and ensuring quality standards are met.
• Creating detailed reports of audit findings and making recommendations for improvements to financial controls and processes.
• Enter and categorize all daily financial activities, such as sales, expenses, and payments.
• Compare internal records with bank statements and vendor ledgers to identify and resolve any inconsistencies.
• Help management plan and control finances by developing and monitoring budgets and forecasts.
• Measures and verifies the amount of work completed on-site, ensuring it aligns with the billed amounts. This includes reviewing Bills of Quantities (BoQs) and comparing them to actual physical progress.
• Evaluates interim and final payments to contractors and subcontractors to ensure they are fair and accurately reflect the work performed. This involves verifying claims and payment applications.
• Assesses if the costs of materials, labor, and equipment align with the project's budget and the terms of the contract.
• At the project's conclusion, prepares the final account to reconcile all project costs and ensure transparent financial closure.
• Compiles detailed reports that document audit findings, including identified over-billings, billing errors, and areas for potential cost savings. These reports are presented to management and other stakeholders.
• Offers value-engineering ideas and advice on cost-effective construction methods to the project management team.
