TheEthnic.Co is a dynamic and rapidly growing Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) fashion e-commerce startup brand for men's ethnic wear that is redefining the fashion industry. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team and play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, a passion for fashion and e-commerce, and good exposure to managing marketplace sales P&L.

Location: Mangamapalya, HSR Extension, Bangalore
Work Days: Mon-Sat (6 days) Working, Full-Time, On-Site
Compensation: INR 4 Lacs to INR 5.4 Lacs
Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management:
• Manage all financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Monitor and reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial records.
• Prepare and review financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Assist in budgeting and financial forecasting.
• Reconcile and manage P&L for all marketplaces
• Create and present monthly financial MIS to management
• Assist in creating monthly investors' report
• Handle Petty Cash
2. Tax Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
• Prepare and file quarterly and annual tax returns.
• Prepare and file GST returns, PT returns, etc.
• Keep up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact the business.
3. Record Keeping:
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation.
• Prepare and maintain a chart of accounts.
• Manage digital and physical records for easy retrieval.
4. Vendor and Supplier Management:
• Create and manage updated vendor details.
• Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
• Maintain positive relationships with suppliers and negotiate payment terms when necessary.
5. Audit Preparation:
• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
• Assist in the audit process and respond to audit inquiries as needed.
6. Financial Analysis:
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Provide recommendations to optimize financial performance.
7. Compliance and Regulations:
• Stay informed about financial regulations and industry best practices.
• Ensure the company's financial practices are in compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
8. Team Collaboration:
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support their financial needs.
• Assist with ad-hoc financial projects as required.
Qualifications
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Experience with payroll processing and tax compliance
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
