College degree in accounting or supplemental work experience
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
Excellent numerical and analytical skills
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and standards
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Benefits
Pay for this position is $25.00/hour, full-time Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 430pm with occasional long hours and weekend work

Responsibilities
The accountant manages financial records, prepares statements, and analyzes data to support decision-making
They ensure compliance and may assist with budgeting and taxes
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are crucial
Input data into accounting systems accurately
Record journal entries promptly
Conduct account reconciliations regularly
Process transactional accounting entries efficiently
Validate data accuracy against system reports
Ensure compliance with controls and processes
Verify supporting documentation for all entries
Collaborate with operations to resolve issues
Address concerns with vendors or customers as needed
Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
Manage incoming mail and perform scanning duties as required
