Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual to fill a potential temporary to hire consultant position assisting the Finance Team. The individual will perform a variety of day-to-day responsibilities in the Accounting department.
Primary Responsibilities
• This position will be responsible for augmenting the existing Accounting staff in the various weekly and monthly requirements of the cash and billing areas. Responsibilities include:Assist with daily cash activities including recording journal entries, paying of AR and AP through the Lawson Accounting system and reconciling cash accounts.
• Assist with the weekly and monthly billing activities including issuing invoices, entering AP and AR transactions into the accounting system, tracking and processing payments and various other related billing tasks.
• Independently prepare monthly cost center accruals and various schedules for month end and quarter end close.
• Perform general ledger analysis and account reconciliations.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
• 2-3 year Accounting experience required
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, proficiency in Adobe Pro
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task, meet established deadlines, and be flexible in adapting to changing work assignments
