Main responsibilities:
• Preparing the accounting records for the plant operation and maintenance (O&M) spending including coding and posting of all financial transactions and month end closing in SAP.
• Full Accounts payable function. Scanning invoices to Wartsila Shared Service Centre (WSSC), creditor reconciliations. Correct handling of foreign vendor payments and related withholding tax processing.
• Full accounts receivable function - generating the sales invoices in SAP, sending invoices to customer and collection follow up.
• Banking - Online payment initiator and advising WSSC of payment allocations.
• Responsible for taxation and customs duties - Work with Tax Authorities and tax advisors to ensure all aspects of company tax and customs duties are processed and reported in compliance with local legislation.
• VAT return submissions and payments.
• WHT return submissions and payments.
• Preparing the monthly balance sheet control account reconciliations under your responsibility.
• Maintain the manual fixed asset register, facilitate asset verification.
• Payroll processing along with HR and possibly a third-party payroll service provider.
• Responsible for correct filing of accounting source documents.
• Responsible for controlling and managing the financial side of relationships with third party service providers.
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with accounting, finance related laws and company guidelines.
• Responsible for the integrity and accuracy of the accounting records.
